My Dear Haeckel
I had a very pleasant trip to Freiburg, Saturday, and Paris after leaving Jena.
I must now thank you and Mrs Haeckel and your family for all your kindness and attention to me during my very || enjoyable stay at Jena.⸻ These visits to Jena are among the bright remembrances of my life.
I hope the Radiolaria will now go on more quickly and that we will have it published in six months.
I am not so sure that a German would translate your || introduction into such good English as an Englishman. However if you think so I have no objections to the attempt being made.
My kindest remembrances to all the family and to Prof. Stemman and other friends.
Yours ever
John Murray.
