My Dear Haeckel
I am delighted to hear that you have had a satisfactory visit to Berlin, and have returned to work. I would like very much to get all the Challenger Reports out of your hands by this time next || year and I am willing to do anything I can that will conduce to that end.
I am making arrangements to go to the continent about the 20th May, but I will write to you definitely in a week or two.
Can you tell || me anything about Professor Richard Hertwig. Is he at Bonn? He promised me a supplementary Report on the Actiniaria. I have written to him but have had no answer as yet.
With best remembrances to your family
Very sincerely yours
John Murray
