My dear Prof. Haeckel,
Permit me to introduce to you a Parsee gentleman, M. Ghandi, who would like, before he returns to India, to see one of the greatest workers in the religious emancipation of Europe. He is anxious to further that work in India, & I am sure his object will have your warm empathy. M. Ghandi is a devoted Rationalist & Humanitarian, & is eager to help in ridding poor India of its burden of superstition. Amongst other || things he would like to turn my translation of the ‘Welt-Räthsel’ into Gujerati. No doubt, you will be as willing as I am.
I have told him that you are busy this month, but trust you can spare him an hour.
With kindest regards
I am yours very sincerely
Joseph McCabe
