My dear Professor

I have to thank you very much for the very kind recommendation which you were so good as to send me with your letter of the 20 Novr last.

I delayed writing to you until I thought I could have seen either Prof. Huxley or Prof. Günther. I have not however as yet been able to see either. Prof. Huxley is ill tis at present away from England & I have not be able to see Prof. Günther. ||

I think if you would be able to give my short letter direct to Prof. Günther I should have no difficulty in getting his direct assistance.

I am afraid I am troubling you very much, but I am grateful to you for your kindness.
