Our annual meeting takes place on the last day in February next, and it is very generally desired that you shall honour us by coming to England and being the guest of the evening on that occasion. If you would permit us to do so, we should be delighted to be responsible for your travelling expenses, and alas would entertain you while here. Most of the prominent Rationalists in the country will be present at the dinner, and we can promise you a right royal reception. We beg of you to carefully consider our request; and to make a supreme effort to accede to it.
