Dear Haeckel.
I received to-day, 3 proofs each of 6 Radiolaria plates. Nos. 31, 56, 65, 68, 75 & 83.
The paper with the address was again torn off this parcel. I must say that the paper on which you have printed the address seems very soft and weak.
I enclose a copy of a circular which was sent to Giltsch some months ago, and I hope you will see that he attends to the instructions contained therein.
The numbers of the plates || which were lost, but which we subsequently received from the Post-Office, are 32, 35, 57 & 70.

P.S. There have been so many mistakes about printing plates that it has been necessary to issue strict rules that all order for printing off must be received direct from me. J. M.
