Dear Sir: I am writing a monograph of the Medusae of the atlantic Coast of North and South America. It will be published as a memoir of the Carnegie Institution.
It will be illustrated by about 1000 colored drawings made by me, from life.||
I would, however, be pleased to present as text-figures and forms as I have not seen.
Would you have any objection to my copying your excellent drawings of such American medusae as I have not original figures of, and publishing them as text-figures; giving you full credit?
I am respectfully
Alfred G. Mayer
Director of the Carnegie Institution Marine Laboratory.
