My Dear Haeckel

I suppose you will now have received the sheets of the Siphonophora. The book will be issued here in three weeks or so.

Would you describe for me the large sponge like rhizopods, if I send you all the specimens and preparations I have || made. You have some of the specimens I sent you some time ago. If you can do this before the end of February I would pay you something for the work and also for the plates. Let me know.

Would you let me know if Dr. Dreyer is now doing or intends to do any || more lists of radiolaria from the deposits for me.

Would you ask him on what conditions he would come here and examine deposits for me writing down the principle genera and species in a good many samples and making more complete lists of a few typical samples. What I wish to know is how much || money he would expect for three months of such work.

Miss Henderson is in America but returns next week. So you may suppose I will then be happier!!

With remembrances to all your family

Yours sincerely

John Murray
