I am deeply grieved to hear such a poor account of your health. The abandonment of your proposed visit to London will be a profound disappointment to your admirers in this country.

By all means send me along the proof sheets to which you refer. No doubt the R. P. A. will be pleased to arrange a translation as you suggest.

It is most kind of you to send me the few lines on Linne and Darwin. I am asking Mr. McCabe to translate them.
