I send you 7 drawings of Medusae Siphonophora which may interest you. They were made by Sir Joseph Hooker during the Antarctic Expedition under Sir James Ross in the years 1839–43. Mr. Murray has recieved Sir Joseph’s permission to lend them both Naturalists engaged in preparing the „Challenger Report“ in case they || might be of any use.

There are some M.S. notes of the Office relating to these drawings.
