John Murray (Challenger Office) an Ernst Haeckel, Edinburgh, 28. März 1888

Challenger Expedition Office,

32 Queen Street, Edinburgh,

28 March 1888

My Dear Haeckel

I have the second part of your M. S. and the enclosures. I hope you will be able to finish the work without doing anything to injure your health which I am very sorry || learn is not so good as you could wish, and I am very sorry indeed to hear that Mrs Haeckel has been so unwell. With the return of spring weather I hope you will both have a return of vigorous health.

I have asked that Mr Dreyer be sent by the Treasury £10 || and for this sum I would expect from him a list from some dozen stations in different oceans.

With my best wishes

Yours sincerely.

John Murray
