I have to-day sent you a box containing some 18 bottles with specimens of the Actinaria, from the Challenger collection. I hope you may be able to make something of them. Be sure to send || me a note of the money you pay for the carriage of the box. I do not know if the money for the carriage of the former boxes has been paid to you yet, but it is sure to be sooner or later. You will || find in the box a small parcel for Mrs Haeckel, which contains my „forfeit” to Lizzie and some other trinkets.
I hope you are getting on with the Medusae. I am busy with the mineral constituents of the oceanic muds and general description || of the voyage.
My best remembrances to Mrs Haeckel and the children and say how much I would like to repeat my visit to Jena, and what pleasant recollections I have of my last one.
