I will send on this week Glitsch’s accounts to the Treasury. The box with the 750 copies of the III Radiolarian Series arrived here all quite safe, and the packing was this time all that one could wish for. || When will we get your M.S. of the deep-sea Medusae? We can put it in the press at once. We are in want of M.S. to print off just at present. We have now eleven Memoirs printed and I think they will be issued soon. I sent you by post on Saturday a Phaeodarian, and also a sponge like || creature from one of the deep sea hauls in the Pacific. You will notice that there are Rhizopod. tubes running all through it. Is this a Sponge or a Phaeodarian?
I spent last Sunday with our Perth friends and they were delighted to hear that you were flourishing and recalled with much pleasure the incidents of your visit last || year.
My best remembrances to Mrs Haeckel and the children.
Yours ever truly
John Murray.
Sir Wyville is very much better and keeps quite vigorous. We are going north to the Faröe Island next month to do some sounding and dredging – in one small coast ships belonging to the Government.
