My dear Haeckel,

Very many thanks for your greeting from Volcano and your letter of the 8^th of March. Our departure from here has been delayed: My wife has had a very bad cold. However, we have now taken our places to leave London || on the 25^th March for the Riviera, and we will be at Hyeres on the 26^th of March. We will stay there a day or two and hope to reach San Remo the first week of April.
