John Murray an Ernst Haeckel, Ravenscraig, 14. August 1891

Ravenscraig | Millport | Cumbrae

14 Aug. 1891.

My Dear Haeckel

We are both very sorry to hear about your accident but we hope that you will soon be able to move about and that we may have the pleasure of seeing you here. I’ve been || making numerous plankton experiments with different kinds of nets.

Hope your family are all very well and very happy in their summer quarters.

There is a letter here for you from Patrick Geddes || which I had better keep till your arrival.

I must go to Edinburgh so I’ll meet you on your arrival at Leith when you let me know the steamer by which you come.

Yours ever

John Murray.
