John Murray (Challenger Office) an Ernst Haeckel, Edinburgh, 26. Juni 1885

Edinburgh,
26 June 1885.
My Dear Haeckel
I have been detained here with a press of work and have now made up my mind not to go to the Continent till to-wards the end of the year.
I have taken a || house on the Clyde for July and August and intend to go in for a good deal of dredging and open air work, as I have been a little „seedy” lately.
So if you wish to see all the fauna of the West of Scotland, without || any sea-sickness, and amid summer seas, come along!
Yours ever
John Murray
The „Ark” and „Medusa” with all the gear for dredging and laboratory started for the Clyde to-day.
