I am again preparing a new issue of our „Annual”, and the thought recurs to me that all our friends are most keenly desirous of reading something more from your pen. You will remember that last year you began to write an article for me, and were restrained by your failing health. I am hopeful that you are now feeling better, and may be able to prepare a short paper setting forth some of your early recollections. A chatty autobiographical survey would be welcomed with delight by your thousands of admirers in this country. I would gladly send you ten Guineas for the favour.
