Dear Professor Haeckel,
Now that you have retired from your professorial chair you may have more time for writing occasional contributions to friendly journals. I most particularly wish you to send me a short paper, say 2000 words, for the next „R. P. A. Annual” on „The Triumph of the Evolution Doctrine” or „Recollections of Charles Darwin” – whichever subject appeals to you more. If you write in German, Mr. McCabe will translate it. The MS. should reach me by the end of July or early in August.
