Dear Sirs,

We take the liberty to introduce to you Professor Haeckel of Jena who goes out to Ceylon on a scientific journey, and shall deem any assistance you may be able to render him a personal favour.

Professor Haeckel will have to send home objects of natural history in connection with his researches and you may greatly help him in finding out the cheapest route.

Anything sent via Great Britain we shall gladly see forwarded to place of destination.
