Dear Sir,

A proposal has been made by a German Publisher (Gustav Fischer of Jena) to publish a German Edition of the Memorial Volume. Before giving a definite reply to this proposal, I shall be glad to know whether you have any objection to this offer being accepted. If favourable replies are received from contributors it is our intention to enter into negotiations also with a French Publisher. May I assume that, unless I hear from you to the contrary before December 10th, no objection will be raised?
