Dear Haeckel,

We arrived here this afternoon and will be staying here till next Saturday. I propose to go with my wife to Bordighera tomorrow forenoon, in the hope of seeing you. I am not yet sure whether we || will go by train or drive ‒ if it be a very fine day we will likely drive. In any case we will get to Bordighera before 12 o’clock noon. I’ll ask at the Post office in the hope of finding your address.
