I cannot refrain from sending you these few lines to thank you for the few words in your own dear hand that accompanied the printed letter. You are so often in my thoughts and I do sincerely hope the days of actual suffering may be over though I fear your patience will be tried for long . This is a wondrously lovely Deanery & this picture gives a view from the drawing room window. I have come down here to get away from the crowds in London. My sister & brother-in- law will be in the thick of the festivities & like it.
