Dear Professor Häckel,
I am beginning to collect material for a biography of my father, although the plan of such a work is quite immature and even the question of authorship not yet decided. I shall however undertake the collection of all hisa correspondence &cb and I should therefore be very grateful to you if you would send me any letters you may have || from my father. I would have them copied and returned to you registered.
I need hardly say that your wishes would be of course consulted in making a choice for publication.
I am sure you will be glad to learn that my mother continues well, and is calm and cheerful.
Yours faithfully
Francis Darwin
